As a key member of our practice, you will be responsible for providing advanced orthopaedic care to our patients. The ideal candidate will be a qualified Veterinary Surgeon, with specialised training and certification in Orthopaedic Surgery. Your primary duties will include diagnosing and treating complex orthopaedic conditions in companion animals, utilising advanced surgical techniques and technologies. You will collaborate closely with our veterinary team to ensure comprehensive care for each patient, providing expertise in areas such as fracture repair, joint stabilisation, and corrective osteotomies.

Advanced Qualification:

Hold a Certificate, Diploma or equivalent degree in Small Animal Orthopaedics from a recognised veterinary body

Clinical Experience:

Have significant clinical experience in veterinary orthopaedics, including diagnosing and treating a wide range of orthopaedic conditions in small animals.

Surgical Skills:

Demonstrate advanced surgical skills in orthopaedic procedures such as fracture repair, joint stabilisation, corrective osteotomies, and joint replacement surgeries.

Experience with Advanced Imaging:

Proficiency in interpreting advanced imaging modalities like CT scans and MRI for accurate diagnosis and surgical planning.

Continuing Education:

Maintain a commitment to ongoing professional development through attendance at conferences, courses, and seminars related to veterinary orthopaedics.

Leadership and Teaching Skills:

Ability to lead a surgical team and mentor residents and interns in orthopaedic surgery techniques.

Multidisciplinary Collaboration:

Experience working collaboratively with other specialists such as radiologists, anaesthesiologists, and rehabilitation therapists for comprehensive patient care.
