Criteria

Essential Criteria:

  • Experience in Veterinary Practice Management:

    • Proven experience in managing a veterinary clinic or hospital, including staff supervision, client relations, and business operations.

  • Understanding of Veterinary Medicine:

    • Strong knowledge of veterinary procedures, treatments, and medical terminology to effectively oversee clinic activities.

  • Leadership and Team Management Skills:

    • Ability to lead and motivate a team of veterinarians, nurses, and support staff to ensure efficient clinic operations.

  • Business Acumen:

    • Proficiency in financial management, budgeting, and strategic planning to optimise clinic performance and profitability.

  • Excellent Communication Skills:

    • Clear and effective communication with clients, staff, and external stakeholders to maintain a positive clinic reputation and client satisfaction.

  • Organisational Skills:

    • Capability to manage schedules, appointments, inventory, and administrative tasks to keep the clinic running smoothly.

  • Problem-Solving Abilities:

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address operational challenges and implement effective solutions.

  • Attention to Detail:

    • Thoroughness in overseeing clinic operations to ensure compliance with regulations and high standards of care.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Certification or Degree in Veterinary Practice Management:

    • Formal education or certification in veterinary practice management would be advantageous.

  • Customer Service Experience:

    • Prior experience in a customer-facing role, especially within a veterinary setting, to enhance client interactions and satisfaction.

  • Marketing and Promotional Skills:

    • Knowledge of marketing strategies to promote the clinic's services and attract new clients.

  • Experience with Practice Management Systems (PMSs):

    • Familiarity with veterinary PMSs to streamline patient records and administrative tasks.

  • Continuing Education in Veterinary Medicine:

    • Participation in ongoing education or training related to veterinary medicine and practice management.

  • Multitasking Abilities:

    • Capacity to handle multiple responsibilities and prioritise tasks effectively in a dynamic clinic environment.

  • Passion for Animal Care:

    • Genuine love for animals and dedication to upholding the highest standards of veterinary care.
