Belfast Veterinary Care is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Soft Tissue Surgeon with advanced qualifications to join our dedicated team of veterinary professionals. As a veterinarian specialising in soft tissue surgery, you will be responsible for providing surgical care to our patients, ranging from routine procedures to complex surgical interventions. Your role will involve diagnosing and treating a variety of soft tissue conditions, including but not limited to abdominal surgeries, reconstructive surgeries, oncological surgeries, and thoracic procedures.

The ideal candidate will be a Qualified Veterinary Surgeon, along with advanced training and board certification in soft tissue surgery. You should possess extensive hands-on experience in performing soft tissue surgeries in a veterinary clinical setting. Strong diagnostic skills, proficiency in interpreting imaging studies, and the ability to develop comprehensive treatment plans are essential for this role. Additionally, excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care are crucial as you will work closely with pet owners to explain diagnoses, treatment options, and post-operative care requirements.

Advanced Qualification:

Hold a Certificate, Diploma or equivalent degree in Small Animal Surgery from a recognised veterinary body.

Experience:

Demonstrated experience in performing complex soft tissue surgeries independently, with a strong track record of successful cases.

Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated with the latest advancements in veterinary soft tissue surgery.

Proficiency in preoperative evaluation, surgical planning, execution of procedures, and postoperative care.

Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with clients, referring veterinarians, and other colleagues

Proficiency in advanced diagnostic imaging techniques (e.g., CT) to aid in surgical planning and decision-making.
